About OxygenLabs

We're two software engineers, both CEG (Anna University) graduates, who've spent our careers building side by side at the same company — and we build with AI every day. We started OxygenLabs together because of something we noticed, both in the industry and in our own lives. We're not trainers reading off slides; we're builders.

What we discovered. We onboarded a few freshers with little to no coding background. Instead of teaching them to code the traditional way, we taught them to think with AI — break a problem down, guide an AI tool with intention, and build something real without years of technical training behind them. It worked. They shipped real things. That raised a question: if people with no coding habits can pick this up faster than seasoned engineers who first have to unlearn old habits — what happens if we start even earlier, with students who have nothing to unlearn?

Why this is personal. One of us came from a Tamil-medium school. Until 12th grade, everything was learned in Tamil. At engineering college, the language of instruction flipped to English overnight — and classmates who were state-rank toppers, genuinely brilliant, struggled simply because of that language wall. Nobody pulled them aside early and said, “start working on this now, while you still have time.” They had to figure it out the hard way, over years of effort.

They made it through. But we think often about how much earlier that could have happened if even one person had explained, early, what was coming. We see the same divide forming again right now — except this time it isn't English versus Tamil, it's AI-literate versus AI-illiterate. We're not willing to watch a new generation of capable students hit that wall with no one warning them.
